Job Summary


Our client is seeking a results-driven and experienced candidates to lead the business development team, drive revenue growth, and expand the bank's customer base.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth, leading the business development team, and expanding the bank's market presence.
The ideal candidate must have an existing portfolio, be highly target-driven, and possess strong leadership abilities to drive both individual and team performance.


Responsibilities


Lead and manage the business development team to achieve set targets
Drive deposit mobilization and quality loan generation across assigned markets
Leverage existing portfolio to generate immediate business opportunities
Develop and implement strategies to grow the bank's customer base
Monitor team performance and provide coaching to improve productivity
Build and maintain strong relationships with high-value clients and stakeholders
Identify new market opportunities and drive business expansion initiatives
Ensure proper onboarding, documentation, and compliance with credit policies
Track and report on individual and team performance against targets
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient service delivery and customer satisfaction


Requirements


First degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field
5 - 8 years' experience in business development within a microfinance bank or financial institution
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets
Must have an existing and active client portfolio
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent sales, negotiation, and relationship management abilities
Ability to drive both individual and team performance
Strong understanding of microfinance operations and credit processes.
