Job Summary


The role holder will be responsible for driving implementation of the sales strategy for the Bancassurance and Direct channels to ensure achievement of Bancassurance sales targets. The role will involve directing, coordinating, and growing the Bancassurance Business portfolio by identifying and converting new business opportunities, enhancing customer retention, strengthening intermediary relationships, and driving sustainable revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities


Coordinate Bancassurance business opportunities, negotiate and close business deals between the different business departments within various bank partners and Liberty.
Identify product needs and co-create solutions between Bancassurance intermediaries and Liberty.
Participate in the implementation of sales strategies between Bancassurance intermediaries and Liberty.
Provide accurate and competitive quotations for all product lines and ensure they are delivered promptly to Bancassurance intermediaries and prospective clients.
Conduct continuous product training for Bancassurance intermediaries to ensure product knowledge and professionalism are upheld, and clients are advised appropriately to avoid misrepresentation.
Go to market as one by partnering with Bancassurance intermediaries on client meetings and running detailed illustrations to introduce clients to new and existing General and Life products.
Prepare timely, accurate, and informative reports on the performance of the Bancassurance business channel as required by management for decision-making.
Conduct market research and intelligence to improve competitiveness and service delivery to clients.
Manage the quality of Bancassurance business, productivity, and overall sales performance.
Drive achievement of the annual, quarterly, and monthly production budgets for all Bancassurance intermediaries.
Help manage existing clients and ensure they remain satisfied and positive by offering solutions and services that meet or anticipate their future needs, thereby ensuring business retention.
Continuously conduct competitor analysis of the market and develop adaptive strategies to ensure responsiveness and gain a competitive edge.
Ensure adherence to the credit control policy in respect of business onboarded.
Build detailed knowledge of the company's products and keep abreast of market conditions and developments.
Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
Embrace governance requirements with respect to KYC, AML, and Data Protection requirements in accordance with governing Acts.


Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Marketing, or another business-related discipline.
MBA is an added advantage.
Professional qualification in Insurance (ACII, FLMI, or AIIK).
Professional membership of CII or IIK.


Experience


10 years' experience in the insurance industry, 3 of which should be in a supervisory role.
