QUALIFICATIONS:


The candidate must have a master's degree in business, ICT, Marketing, or a related Information System field is preferred,
Bachelor's degree in information systems or equivalent is mandatory
Oracle cloud infrastructure, Microsoft Azure, Cisco Certifications


EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE:


The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' experience in ICT solutions Business Development role, with a strong record of winning business and consistently meeting revenue targets.
Experience selling enterprise technology, software platforms, and digital solutions to both the private and public sectors, including familiarity with end-to-end sales cycles in complex environments.
Solid understanding of RFPs, tendering, and procurement procedures within Africa, with the ability to lead proposal development and navigate competitive bidding processes.
Prior engagement with multilateral organizations and development partners—such as World Bank-funded programmes—particularly on ICT or digital transformation initiatives.
Strong commercial awareness and analytical capability, with the ability to develop sound business cases, forecast opportunities, and support strategic decision-making.

Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to guide and motivate teams, collaborate with cross-functional units, and champion sales performance.
Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills, with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders across governments, DFIs, and large enterprises.
A proactive, ambitious, and entrepreneurial mindset—driven to pursue opportunities, solve problems, and secure major ICT and digital transformation deals.


Sales Strategy & Innovation


Ability to design and execute creative sales and go-to-market strategies that respond to varied regional markets and client needs.
Comfortable managing large, multi-stakeholder sales processes, including donor-funded programmes and public-sector digital initiatives.
Strong understanding of African market dynamics, procurement structures, and funding mechanisms, particularly where technology and development intersect.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Develop and implement a comprehensive ICT and Digital Solutions business development strategy for African markets, delivering both immediate wins and sustainable long-term growth.
Identify, qualify, and secure major ICT and digital transformation opportunities by building strong relationships with government institutions, development partners, multilaterals, and DFIs.
Work closely with technical, marketing, and leadership teams to shape solution designs, refine product positioning, and ensure client needs are fully addressed.
Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with local and regional players to expand Farsight's presence and open new market channels.
Create innovative go-to-market and engagement strategies, staying ahead of sector trends, donor priorities, and emerging technologies across the continent.
Coordinate business development efforts across countries and sectors, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and effective use of cross-functional expertise.
Provide leadership, coaching, and performance oversight to sales or business development teams supporting regional ICT and digital solutions growth.
