We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Officer to drive the growth of OneKitty. The ideal candidate will play a key role in expanding our presence in the Kenyan market, with a strong focus on events, strategic partnerships, and brand adoption. This position requires a proactive individual who can identify opportunities, build relationships, and push OneKitty's products to target markets.

Key Responsibilities


Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities for OneKitty across Kenya.
Drive adoption of OneKitty for events, fundraisers, and group contribution activities.
Build and manage strategic partnerships with organizations, churches, event planners, corporates, chamas, influencers, and community groups.
Represent OneKitty at events, activations, and exhibitions to promote the brand.
Create and execute sales strategies to increase platform usage and revenue.
Maintain strong relationships with clients, onboarding them and providing excellent support.
Conduct product demos and presentations to potential partners and clients.
Work with the marketing team to develop promotional material and campaigns.
Track sales targets, prepare weekly/monthly reports, and analyze market trends.
Provide feedback to the product and management teams for continuous improvement.


Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field (preferred).
1 - 3 years experience in business development, sales, partnerships, or events management.
Strong networking skills and familiarity with Kenya's events and community space.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and meet ambitious targets.
Experience in events marketing fintech, mobile payments, or digital products is an added advantage
