This is a full-time, on-site role for a Business Development Officer (Sales) located primarily in Isolo, Lagos, and secondarily in Elegushi.
The Business Development Officer will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, fostering client relationships, and executing sales strategies.
Daily tasks include researching market trends, analyzing financial data, preparing sales presentations, negotiating deals, and providing exceptional customer service to ensure client satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities


Identify and engage prospective clients, businesses, and partners to generate new accounts.
Conduct persuasive sales presentations and demonstrations to showcase product value.
Understand client needs and develop tailored solutions that align with SomKolch's promise of quality and performance.
Build, nurture, and sustain long‑term relationships to ensure recurring business and loyalty.
Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and revenue objectives.
Analyze and report market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline status, and client interactions through CRM or tracking tools.
Operate with a results‑driven mindset, strong organizational discipline, and high levels of self‑motivation.


Qualifications


Minimum HND or equivalent qualification; Bachelor's preferred.
Proven experience (2-3 years) in sales or business development within FMCG, automotive solutions, or related sectors.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to build rapport and establish strong client relationships.
Strong time‑management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
Flexibility to work outside conventional hours when required.
Preferred: Experience with maintenance products, chemicals, or automotive‑adjacent sales is an advantage.
