Role Overview
We are looking for a high-impact Business/Product Analyst to sit at the intersection of Product, Engineering, and Operations. You will be responsible for translating ambitious product visions for SME merchants into technical blueprints and maintaining product health through data.
Key Responsibilities
Technical bridge & system design
System mapping & design: Document 'as-is' and 'to-be' architecture alongside designers and engineers,
ensure that new features don't break existing compliance or operational workflows.
Translate vision: Convert product designs into detailed technical specifications (APIs and logic flows), maintain technical documentation as the produce evolves.
Technical liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for developers to clarify business requirements, edge cases, and error handling.
Product analytics & performance guard
Measurement frameworks and research enablement: Define the KPIs for new features (drop-off, success rates, feature engagement etc.), enable designers to identify relevant merchants for research and testing.
Continuous monitoring: Build and maintain dashboards to identify where users are getting stuck or where system latency is impacting the UX, work with data engineers set up data pipelines and models to enable analytics and reporting.
Root cause analysis: When a metric dips, you are the one to investigate whether it's a UX friction point, a technical bug, or an external third-party failure.
The BA essentials
Edge case mastery: Identifying the "what ifs" that designers often miss.
Stakeholder alignment: Ensuring Legal, Risk, and other internal teams are satisfied with the system design.
UAT orchestration: Defining the "Definition of Done" and enabling User Acceptance Testing to ensure the final build actually solves the merchant's problem.
Requirements & Skills
Experience: 5+ years as a Business/Systems Analyst or Technical Product Manager, ideally in Fintech, Payments, or SaaS.
Technical literacy: Ability to read API documentation, understand SQL for data extraction, and use flow-charting tools.
Data analytics: Proficiency in data tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Mixpanel, or similar) to track user behaviour.
Diagramming: Experience creating visual models of business processes and technical systems using diagram tools (Lucidchart, MS Visio, Draw.io, or similar).
