Overview:
Acts as the key link between business and IT, translating requirements into scalable system solutions
Works across the full SDLC, from requirements through to design, testing, implementation, and support
Operates in a cross-functional environment with developers, stakeholders, and business teams
Key Responsibilities:
Gather, analyse, and document complex business and system requirements
Design system architecture, integrations, and technical solutions aligned to business needs
Develop and support automation and integration components (APIs, services, etc.)
Create technical test cases and perform unit testing
Provide system support (L1-L3) and ensure SLA adherence
Monitor system performance and drive continuous improvement
Lead stakeholder engagement, ensuring alignment on priorities, risks, and delivery
Support go-live activities and post-implementation optimisation
Technical Leadership:
Provide guidance, oversight, and quality assurance across team deliverables
Drive best practices, standards, and governance across the SDLC
Mentor and coach junior team members
Assist with work planning, prioritisation, and delivery tracking
Requirements:
7+ years' experience in Systems Analysis / Systems Design / Software Development or similar
Strong experience in system integration and automation
Proven experience working in cross-functional, technical teams
Exposure to technical leadership (mentoring, QA, oversight)
Technical Skills:
Strong SQL (MySQL / Microsoft SQL Server)
API integration (REST, SOAP, Web Services)
Understanding of system architecture and design
Experience with Jira and Confluence
Exposure to programming languages (e.g. Java, C#, Python) beneficial
Nice to Have:
ITIL knowledge or certification
Experience with automation tools
OOAD and project coordination exposure
Banking / financial services experience
