Job Summary
We are looking for a highly detail-oriented Capitalisation / Register Officer - Fixed Assets to oversee the company's fixed asset records, ensure accurate capitalisation of assets, maintain the Fixed Asset Register, and support compliance with internal accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
Review capital expenditure documents and process eligible items for capitalisation.
Maintain an accurate Fixed Asset Register for all company assets.
Monitor Assets Under Construction (AUC/CWIP) and ensure timely transfer to active assets.
Reconcile fixed asset balances with the General Ledger.
Prepare monthly depreciation schedules and fixed asset reports.
Coordinate physical verification, tagging, and tracking of company assets.
Process asset transfers, disposals, impairments, and write-offs.
Support audit processes by providing complete fixed asset documentation.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
Minimum of 3 - 5 years' relevant experience in Fixed Asset Accounting, Capitalisation, or Financial Reporting.
Good understanding of IFRS and fixed asset accounting standards.
Strong reconciliation, documentation, and reporting skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
