Main Function
The CCTV Surveillance Officer is responsible for monitoring, operating, and maintaining surveillance systems to ensure the safety and security of guests, staff, property, and assets.
The role requires vigilance, discretion, and strict adherence to security protocols while supporting incident prevention and investigation.
Role Responsibilities
Surveillance and Monitoring:
Monitor live CCTV feeds across all designated areas to detect suspicious activity, safety risks, or security breaches.
Ensure surveillance coverage is active and effective at all times.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while handling sensitive security footage.
Incident Detection and Reporting:
Identify, document, and report unusual behavior, security incidents, or safety concerns promptly.
Escalate incidents to the appropriate security or management personnel in line with established procedures.
Prepare accurate incident reports, logs, and daily activity summaries.
System Operation and Maintenance:
Operate CCTV equipment, recording systems, and monitoring software efficiently.
Report faults, camera malfunctions, or system irregularities to technical teams or supervisors.
Ensure recorded footage is stored, archived, and retrieved in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure all surveillance activities comply with privacy laws, data protection regulations, and organizational policies.
Follow security protocols, emergency procedures, and health & safety guidelines.
Support investigations by providing footage and factual observations when required.
Collaboration and Support:
Work closely with on-ground security personnel to coordinate responses to incidents.
Support management during audits, investigations, or security reviews.
Maintain effective communication with security teams during shifts.
Experience / Qualification
B.Sc in Security Management, Criminology, Information Technology, Cyber Security or equivalent.
Previous experience as a CCTV Operator or Surveillance Officer is an advantage.
Basic knowledge of CCTV systems, monitoring software, and security operations.
Certification or training in CCTV operations or security management is an added advantage.
