Generic Requirements:


Be in possession of a Senior Certificate / Grade 12 / National Certificate (Vocational) recorded on the National Learner Record Database (NL-RD) on at least NQF level 4;
Applicants must display competency in the post-specific functions of the post;
Be proficient in at least two official languages, of which one must be English;
Be a citizen of the Republic of South Africa of which documentary proof must be furnished on the day of interview;
Must have no previous convictions or pending criminal / departmental or civil cases;
Must not have tattoo/s marks which will be visible when wearing any uniform of the Service;
Computer Literacy;
Interpersonal, communication and Organizational Skills;
Analytical, Self-Management and Problem Solving Skills;
Report Writing, presentation, development skills;
Relevant courses in the field of the post may be an advantage.


Additional Requirements:


Must be in possession of at least a (3) three-year Diploma / Degree in Theology (accredited by SAQA on NQF 6 level or higher).
Proof of academic record of qualification/s from recognized institution.
Proof of a valid Ordination certificate as preacher (i.e. minister of religion) recognised by the current ecclesiastical denomination concerned.
Must submit proof of a valid good standing certificate issued by the current ecclesiastical denomination concerned.
Must have at least (1) one year proven post-ordination experience as a minister of religion.
Must be in possession of a valid driver's license.
Must be medically, physically, and mentally fit.


Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:


Must be able to work in a diverse group, have good interpersonal, communication, facilitation and presentation, monitoring and evaluation, report writing, problem solving, conflict resolution and computer skills (Ms Word, Ms Power Point and Ms Office Outlook).


Core Functions:


Provide Interventions required and report on performance of proactive and reactive interventions.
Present approved proactive priority programmes for the financial year 2026/2027.
Participate in an integrated Spiritual Services and EHW events for SAPS employee in collaboration with faith-based organisations.
Provide an integrated reactive Spiritual Interventions to SAPS employees and their immediate families.
Provide effective bereavement Spiritual Interventions to SAPS employees and their immediate families
Render general administrative, logistical requirements and standby duties. Spiritual Services and the Employee Health and Wellness policies.
