Generic Requirements:


Be in possession of a Senior Certificate / Grade 12 / National Certificate (Vocational) recorded on the National Learner Record Database (NL-RD) on at least NQF level 4;
Applicants must display competency in the post-specific functions of the post;
Be proficient in at least two official languages, of which one must be English;
Be a citizen of the Republic of South Africa of which documentary proof must be furnished on the day of interview;
Must have no previous convictions or pending criminal / departmental or civil cases;
Must not have tattoo/s marks which will be visible when wearing any uniform of the Service;
Computer Literacy;
Interpersonal, communication and Organizational Skills;
Analytical, Self-Management and Problem Solving Skills;
Report Writing, presentation, development skills;
Relevant courses in the field of the post may be an advantage.


Additional Requirements:


Must be in possession of a Master's Degree in Research Psychology (accredited by SAQA on NQF level 9).
Must be registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Research Psychologist and must submit proof of registration for 2026/2027 financial year.
Must have (3) three years' experience in the field of the post as a Research Psychologist, of which (1) one year should be on a supervisory level/ comparable level.
Must be in possession of a valid driver's license.
Must be medically, physically, and mentally fit.


Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:


Computer literacy is essential, Communication, Professionalism, Planning and organizing, project management, Analytical thinking, Emotional intelligence and Data analytic Ability to statistically analyse and validate data.
Design and Knowledge of computer systems for psychometric assessments.


Core Functions:


Develop and implement strategies, procedures and guidelines for the assessments with the organization.
Capturing and processing of data including compiling of short lists, reports and feedback.
Analysis and research on captured data.
Validating all assessment batteries.
Development of psychometric assessments.
Job profiling.
Provide multi-disciplinary support and ensure the rendering of a professional, integrated service and performing general admin.
Manage Human, Physical and financial resources of the Sub-Section.
