ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef specializing in Indian cuisines to support the company's food service operations.
The role involves preparing authentic Indian meals, maintaining high standards of food quality and hygiene, managing kitchen activities, and ensuring timely meal service.
The ideal candidate should possess strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain consistency and excellence in food preparation and hospitality services.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Prepare authentic Indian cuisines and other assigned meals.
Plan menus and ensure balanced meal preparation.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the kitchen.
Monitor food stock levels and prepare shopping lists when required.
Ensure proper storage and handling of food items.
Maintain kitchen equipment and report maintenance issues.
Follow food safety and health regulations at all times.
Prepare meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
Coordinate meal schedules and timely service delivery.
Perform any other duties assigned by management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Certificate or Diploma in Food Production, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
Experience with Indian cuisines will be an added advantage.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards is required.
Good communication skills in English and Kiswahili.
At least 3 - 5 years' experience as a chef specializing in Indian cuisines.
Experience in menu planning and kitchen management.
Knowledge of vegetarian Indian dishes.
SKILLS

Good knowledge of Indian spices, recipes, and food preparation techniques.
