The role drives innovation, team performance, and service excellence by aligning operational execution with the organization vision to be a leading biomedical solutions provider in East Africa. The Chief Executive ensures that all biomedical operations deliver superior customer satisfaction, adhere to quality standards, and meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Planning


Develop and implement the company's biomedical business strategy in line with corporate goals.
Set annual targets, budgets, and KPIs for departments under the biomedical division.
Lead market analysis to identify emerging trends, technologies, and business opportunities.
Oversee product portfolio expansion and new market entry strategies.


Operational Management


Supervise day-to-day operations across technical service, sales, logistics, and customer support.
Ensure efficient workflow coordination between departments for timely project delivery.
Approve procurement and resource allocation aligned to operational plans.
Enforce service level agreements (SLAs) and performance benchmarks.


Financial Management


Develop annual budgets and monitor revenue, costs, and profitability.
Oversee billing accuracy, cost control, and cash flow management.
Ensure financial compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
Drive cost optimization without compromising service quality.


Team Leadership & Development


Lead, mentor, and evaluate staff across technical, sales, and support functions.
Build a high-performance culture through training, motivation, and accountability.
Conduct periodic performance reviews and succession planning.
Foster teamwork, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration.


Business Development & Client Relations


Build and maintain relationships with key clients, hospitals, and regulatory agencies.
Drive new business acquisition, partnerships, and strategic alliances.
Represent the company in industry forums, exhibitions, and government engagements.
Oversee contract negotiations and ensure client satisfaction targets are met.


Compliance & Quality Assurance


Ensure adherence to ISO 13485, KMLTTB, PPB, DOSHS, and MoH requirements.
Oversee documentation and audit readiness for all biomedical operations.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to uphold service and safety standards.


Reporting & Governance


Present monthly performance reports and strategic updates to the Managing Director.
Maintain full visibility on departmental metrics, risks, and opportunities.
Ensure data integrity and compliance in ERP/CRM systems.


Qualification

Qualifications & Experience

Education


Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
Masters in Business Administration (MBA) preferred.


Experience


Minimum 8 - 10 years of experience in the biomedical or healthcare technology industry.
At least 3 - 5 years in a senior management or general management role.
Proven experience in business growth, technical operations, and people leadership.
