Provide strategic leadership to the Division
Ensure effective financial planning, budgeting and preparation of annual financial statements.
Co-ordination and preparation of strategic financial plan i.e. Budgets & Forecasts for the CSOS.
Drive Business Intelligence - structure, interpret Data and implement processes into the CSOS's operations, building a clear roadmap of the direction the business needs to take to achieve its financial objectives.
Lead the implementation and maintenance of an effective system of expenditure control
Oversee the formulation of an effective revenue management strategy
Co-ordination and preparation of strategic financial plan i.e. Budgets & Forecasts
Develop and consolidate the five (5) year and annual budgets that supports the overall CSOS Strategic Plan and annual business plan.
Responsible for implementing and monitoring effective financial and risk control systems
Oversee the management of Supply Chain Processes and CSOS Assets
Oversee the integrated internal control framework (systems, policies, and processes)
Ensure the preparation of monthly accounting records in line with generally acceptable accounting standards, practices and procedures.
Oversee the financial reporting of the CSOS to the Shareholders
Carry out financial risk assessments
Plan and coordinate both the internal and the external audits
Manage company compliance to laws and regulations i.e. Financial (IFRS), GRAP, Company (Companies Act), Taxation (Income Tax Act), Exchange Control and liaise with the relevant stakeholders.
Proactively introduce improvement opportunities in line with best practice to optimise business success.

Job Requirements
A minimum NQF level 8 formal qualification in Financial Management / Accounting or related.
Chartered Accountant (CA(SA).
A minimum of 7-12 years' experience at senior management and executive level in Finance or Financial Accounting, especially within large/ national entity and/or public sector organisation.
A Master's Degree / MBA / MBL or equivalent will be an added advantage.
Knowledge of financial and management accounting and tax.
Knowledge of supply chain management framework.
Knowledge of financial reporting and preparation of annual financial statements.
Knowledge of PFMA, Treasury Regulations, GRAP, IFRS, CaseWare, Income Tax Act and other statutory requirements.
Knowledge of good governance.
General knowledge of broader political, economic and social environment.
Advanced MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Accounting, asset, financial reporting and payroll packages.
