Key Performance Areas

Key responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following:

Inspection Activities


Schedule inspection activities in synergy with production and in accordance with inspection instructions.
Conduct inspections of all components procured or manufactured daily to ensure compliance to quality and product specifications
Radiograph fuel plates, target plates and welds to determine hidden defects.
Generate Inspection reports for all inspections conducted.
Record relevant product related information on the system to enable trend analysis of product conformance/reject rates


Release Of Items


Perform receiving/Incoming Inspection of Procured items.
Control status of products by means of status indicators and update database accordingly to ensure correct application to products
Verify accuracy of components released by production for final assembly, for Traceability.


IMTE Verification System


Verify(Calibrate) shop floor measuring instruments using the Master Reference Standards on an annual basis to ensure validity of instrumentation test results.
Issue certificate and maintain the database of the verified measuring instruments to ensure effective and efficient retrieval and accuracy of information when required.


Process Surveillances


Conduct surveillance product audits (First - Off & Witness Inspections) on processes in the plant on a regular basis to ensure compliance to regulatory and quality requirements.
Witness Swaging & Special activities


Management System


Level 3 & 4 document review.
Review and update INS (Inspection Instructions) and master report forms for inspection and NDE (non-destructive examination) documentation for activities as required.


Qualifications and Experience:


Qualified Artisan (Mechanical/ Fitter and Turner)
Radiographic Testing Level 01.
Dimensional Metrology Level 01
Ultrasonic Testing Level 01
5 years' experience in dimensional inspection and non-destructive examination
