Key Performance Areas:
In-service and Maintenance:
Provide in-service and maintenance support for the NLM facilities,
Prepare, review In-service Inspection and maintenance Programs (ISIP&M) for the various processes and facilities, including ensure compliance to the ISIP&M.
Implementation of modifications and installations to NWM facilities and processes as required.
Ensure compliance to NWM facility Inspection and Maintenance programs
Co-ordinating of statutory inspection requirements for different plants and buildings under NWM supervision
In-service examination, testing, inspection and maintenance of any of the NLM plants to ensure that the integrity of the mechanical components and systems conform to that on which the nuclear operating license for the plant was granted.
Waste Management Projects
Participating in the planning, installation and commissioning of equipment and processes of Projects
Technically prepare, review or provide inputs for the following documents: Manuals, ISIP&M, Procedures, OTS, Specifications, Design Specifications, WAR, HIRA, Basis of design, HAZOP, Training procedures, Purchase specifications.
Supervision and Leadership
Supervision of artisan and technicians ensuring deliverables are met.
Maintain and create development plans including succession strategy
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
BTech Mechanical Engineering (NQF Level 7)
Minimum 7 years' experience in the mechanical maintenance field and nuclear waste facilities.
Experience in the design, development, construction and commissioning of facilities
