Job Brief
We are looking for aChild Psychologistto join our team and provide compassionate care to children and teens suffering from a variety of disorders, such as ADHD, anxiety and depression.
Child Psychologist responsibilities include working directly with patients to understand their needs and overseeing treatment options to ensure they receive proper care.
Ultimately, you will work directly with adolescents and teens to help them overcome substance abuse, address mental disorders and provide the medical care needed.
Responsibilities
Recommend rehabilitation or intervention programs to overcome addiction issues
Provide complete documentation and records of assessments and treatments according to in-house policies
Coordinate with other child health experts, like child protection workers, pediatricians and social workers, to facilitate and ensure the patients' psychological development
Organize educational programs to inform adolescents or teenagers about the repercussions of high-risk behaviors and ways to adjust to them
Address issues such as depression, bullying, various mental health issues and learning difficulties in children by providing appropriate psychological intervention.
Requirements and skills
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in psychology and a Ph.D. in clinical or child psychology with 1 - 25 years working experience.
Proven work experience as a Child Psychologist or similar role
Must be approachable and empathic so children will be comfortable working with you
Knowledge of different therapeutic methods and the ability to switch between different approaches to meet each child's needs
Excellent communication skills, specifically the ability to communicate with children of different ages and from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
