Summary
The Civil Site Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily construction activities, ensuring quality workmanship, efficient utilization of resources, adherence to project specifications, and timely completion of civil works.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise heavy construction equipment operations and monitor daily equipment productivity.
Execute and oversee earthworks, including cut-and-fill operations, grading, leveling, dressing, and slope formation.
Mark out and prepare construction sites in accordance with approved drawings and project requirements.
Supervise building construction activities from foundation to project completion.
Monitor drainage works, PCC (Plain Cement Concrete) activities, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Review and supervise bar bending schedules, shuttering works, structural layouts, surveying activities, and geometric alignments.
Ensure optimum utilization of labor, materials, and machinery to achieve project objectives.
Manage workforce and subcontractor issues, escalating critical concerns to the Site Engineer or Area Manager.
Support the Quality Department in material testing, concrete sampling, and quality inspections.
Monitor and ensure safe and efficient execution of all site activities.
Prepare and maintain daily labor reports and site progress records.
Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Qualifications & Skills
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
At least 4 years experience in Buildings, Roads and earth works. Exposure to industrial constructions like ware houses, equipment foundations, sub-stations, electrical buildings etc, as site engineer / Project engineer will be an added advantage.
Experience in civil construction, earthworks, building construction, and infrastructure projects.
Good knowledge of slopes, cut-and-fill methods, drainage systems, and construction methodologies.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and construction planning.
Strong conceptual, supervisory, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Strong communication and team management skills.
