Purpose


As part of its commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and professional work environment across its business locations, the company is seeking a diligent, reliable, and detail-oriented Cleaner to ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of office premises and other assigned facilities.
The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, hygienic, organized, and safe working environment by carrying out routine cleaning and sanitation activities across office spaces, restrooms, common areas, and other assigned facilities. The role ensures that all company premises consistently reflect a professional image while promoting the health, safety, and comfort of employees and visitors.


Key Responsibilities
Cleaning & Housekeeping:


Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors daily.
Dust and clean furniture, desks, shelves, windows, doors, and office equipment.
Clean and sanitize toilets, washrooms, kitchens, and other common areas.
Empty waste bins and dispose of refuse appropriately.
Replenish consumables such as tissue paper, hand soap, sanitizers, and air fresheners.
Ensure meeting rooms are clean and ready before scheduled meetings.


Facility Maintenance:


Monitor cleanliness standards throughout the premises.
Report maintenance issues such as leaking taps, faulty lighting, broken furniture, or damaged equipment.
Ensure cleaning tools and equipment are properly maintained after use.
Store cleaning chemicals safely according to health and safety standards.


Hygiene & Safety:


Follow approved cleaning procedures and safety guidelines.
Use cleaning chemicals responsibly and wear appropriate protective equipment.
Prevent health hazards by maintaining high sanitation standards.
Ensure walkways and work areas remain free from hazards.


Support Services:


Assist with setting up meeting rooms when required.
Support office events by maintaining cleanliness before, during, and after events.
Perform any other cleaning-related duties assigned by management.


Educational Qualification


Minimum of SSCE (WAEC/NECO/GCE).
Additional housekeeping or cleaning certification is an added advantage.


Experience:


1 - 3years' experience as a Cleaner, Housekeeper, or Office Assistant.
Experience in a corporate office, retail environment, or commercial facility is an advantage.


Technical Skills:


Knowledge of cleaning methods and sanitation practices.
Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment.
Safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
Good understanding of workplace hygiene standards.
