Job Summary
The CNG Logistics Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) logistics operations across Lagos and Kano IPP sites.
The successful candidate will oversee logistics activities, manage logistics supervisors, coordinate logistic vendors, monitor gas dispatch schedules, ensure compliance with safety and operational standards, and proactively resolve logistics challenges affecting plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics Supply Chain Management
Oversee end-to-end CNG transportation and logistics operations for both Lagos and Kano IPP sites.
Ensure uninterrupted gas supply to prevent operational downtime or site shutdowns.
Develop and maintain efficient dispatch schedules for CNG deliveries.
Coordinate truck movements, fleet allocation, routing, and turnaround times.
Monitor gas inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment.
Liaise with gas suppliers and operational teams to maintain supply continuity.
Track logistics KPIs including delivery timelines, truck utilization, fuel efficiency, and downtime incidents.
Maintain strong operational oversight and coordination across the Northern logistics corridor, specifically the Obajana - Kano route.
Substantial technical knowledge (mechanical/electrical) of the logistics equipment utilized for gas storage and transfer operations.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations Management, or related fields.
3 - 5 years experience in logistics operations, preferably within CNG, oil C gas, power, or energy sectors.
Experience managing multi-location logistics operations.
Strong understanding of CNG transportation and supply chain operations.
Substantial knowledge of the Northern region, specifically the Obajana - Kano corridor.
Substantial technical knowledge (mechanical/electrical) of the logistics equipment utilized for gas storage and transfer operations.
Experience managing logistics vendors and personnel.
Proven ability to manage high-pressure operational environments.
