Purpose of the Assignment

The purpose of this consultancy is to design a comprehensive SRHR toolkit that is age-appropriate, culturally sensitive, inclusive, and aligned with safeguarding principles.

Specific Objectives


The consultant will develop a structured and user-friendly SRHR toolkit.
The consultant will simplify SRHR concepts into relatable and accessible content.
The consultant will integrate participatory and interactive learning methods.
The consultant will ensure alignment with national policies and global standards.
The consultant will incorporate safeguarding, gender, and inclusion principles.


Scope of Work

In the inception phase, the consultant will review relevant documents, consult ACF, and submit an inception report outlining the methodology and work plan.

In the toolkit development phase, the consultant will develop modules on key SRHR topics and design content using dialogue-based formats such as conversations, role-plays, and storytelling. The consultant will also include facilitator prompts and ensure cultural sensitivity.

The consultant will develop the toolkit in English and support adaptation into Hausa.

The consultant will support validation of the toolkit and revise it based on feedback.

The consultant will submit the final toolkit in both editable and print-ready formats.

Expected Deliverables


The consultant will submit an inception report.
The consultant will submit a draft SRHR toolkit in English including dialogue-based modules.
The consultant will provide a Hausa version of the toolkit.
The consultant will develop a facilitator guide.
The consultant will submit a validation report.
The consultant will submit the final toolkit.


Duration

The consultancy will last for 14 working days.

Qualifications


The consultant should have experience in SRHR programming.
The consultant should have knowledge of gender and safeguarding principles.
The consultant should have experience developing training materials or toolkits.
The consultant should have strong writing and content development skills.


Reporting

The consultant will report to the Program Lead and work closely with the project team.

Ethical Considerations


The consultant must adhere to safeguarding and confidentiality standards.
The consultant must apply ACF's rights based and Do No Harm approach.


Payment Terms

ACF will adopt a milestone approach to the payment of the consultant as follows;


30 percent upon approval of the inception report.
40 percent upon submission of the draft toolkit
30 percent upon submission of the final approved toolkit and all other deliverables.
