ROLE PURPOSE


The Consulting Engagement Manager is a client-facing role responsible for the end-to-end delivery of high-impact consulting engagements. The role integrates project leadership, commercial stewardship, client relationship management, and team development to drive successful execution of consulting engagements.
The ideal candidate brings deep consulting expertise, strong operational discipline, and a demonstrated ability to cultivate trusted client relationships that generate lasting value for both clients and the firm.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Delivery & Quality Assurance


Lead the end-to-end execution of consulting engagements, ensuring all deliverables meet the firm's professional standards and client expectations.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, maintaining a consistent focus on high-margin, and on-time delivery.
Serve as technical lead on Change Management engagements, including culture transformation initiatives and ERP implementations, providing expert advisory guidance throughout the project lifecycle.


Client Relationship Management


Act as the primary relationship owner for key client stakeholders, building partnerships grounded in trust, transparency, and value delivery.
Proactively identify opportunities for account growth, follow-on mandates, and expanded scope within existing client portfolios.
Maintain high client satisfaction scores as a measurable driver of repeat business and referral growth.


Team Leadership & Development


Lead, coach, and performance-manage a core team of consultants and external associates, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Conduct structured performance reviews and quality assessments, leveraging internal reporting frameworks to ensure consistent delivery standards.


Business Growth & Revenue Generation


Contribute to the firm's commercial growth through targeted business development activity, proposal authorship, and client presentations.
Oversee the conversion of pipeline opportunities into high-value advisory engagements, managing the pursuit process from qualification to close.
Strengthen the firm's market profile by contributing to thought leadership outputs, including white papers, technical articles, and industry publications.


PERSON SPECIFICATION

Education & Professional Qualifications


Master's degree in Business Administration, Organisational Development, or a closely related discipline.
Prosci® Certified Change Management Practitioner (highly preferred).
PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification; additional qualifications in coaching, leadership, or organisational development are advantageous.


Professional Experience


Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in management consulting, with a demonstrable track record of leading teams and delivering large-scale projects.
Proven experience managing client relationships at senior stakeholder level.
Background in change management, ERP implementation, or organisational transformation is strongly preferred.
