Role Description
The Content Strategist is a full-time, on-site role based in Lagos, responsible for planning, developing, and overseeing content initiatives across digital and traditional platforms. Day-to-day tasks include conducting audience and market research, defining content goals, building editorial calendars, and collaborating with creative, design, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive brand messaging.
The role involves creating content frameworks, guiding copy and visual direction, optimizing content for performance and engagement, and ensuring alignment with client objectives and Wildreams' human-centered approach.
The Content Strategist will analyze content performance metrics, refine strategies based on insights, and present recommendations to internal stakeholders and clients.
Qualifications
Content strategy and planning skills, including experience creating editorial calendars, content roadmaps, and campaign frameworks.
Strong research and analytical skills to understand audiences, market trends, and performance metrics for data-informed content decisions.
Excellent writing, storytelling, and editing abilities, with a focus on clear, engaging, and brand-aligned content.
Knowledge of digital marketing and content marketing practices, including social media, SEO basics, and multi-channel campaign coordination.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (creative, design, account management) and communicate ideas clearly.
Experience working within an agency or fast-paced creative environment is highly beneficial.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Media, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines on-site in Lagos.
Demonstrated interest in human-centered storytelling and brand building that reflects diverse perspectives and experiences.
