About the Role
Navitas is seeking a relentless and momentum-driven Conversion Officer to join its student recruitment team across the UK and Nigeria.
The role involves driving conversion for the University of Plymouth by guiding offer holders through to CAS, while delivering exceptional, student-centric support to maximize enrolments from West Africa (Nigeria/Ghana).
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills, engaging effectively with students, parents, education agents, and internal teams.
This role will report to the Plymouth team (TBC) and work closely with Student Recruitment Coordinators in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities
Develop engaging, high-impact content across multiple channels to attract quality applicants and drive conversion throughout the recruitment journey
Collaborate with the WA Recruitment and International Marketing teams to design data-informed, results-driven conversion strategies aligned with regional trends
Lead and deliver interactive conversion initiatives, including telephone campaigns and live web chats, enhancing applicant engagement
Support the planning and execution of dynamic online and in-person conversion events in partnership with the WA Recruitment team
Own and manage the conversion calendar, ensuring timely, creative, and audience-focused communications
Track and analyse applicant progression across each stage to optimize conversion performance and identify improvement opportunities
Produce insightful campaign evaluation reports and present findings to inform wider recruitment strategies
Create targeted, relevant, and compelling content tailored to diverse audience segments
Provide flexible team support during peak periods, including participation in recruitment activities as needed
Build strong partnerships across the University of Plymouth (Admissions, UKVI Credibility Team, Enquiry Team) to streamline the applicant journey and maximize enrolments.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build effective relationships
Experience in a customer-focused environment, delivering high-quality support and engagement
Exposure to cross-cultural education or work environments, demonstrating cultural awareness
Proficiency in CRM systems and digital tools, with the ability to manage applicant queries and virtual events
Analytical and collaborative mindset, with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and take initiative within a team.
Skills That Set You Apart:
Strong understanding of international student recruitment markets, trends, and applicant behaviours
Familiarity with the UK higher education landscape
Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Mailchimp) to drive engagement and conversion
Working knowledge of analytics tools and dashboards (e.g., Google Analytics) to measure and optimise performance
Proven ability to deliver webinars and virtual engagement initiatives to enhance candidate interaction
Awareness of and commitment to governance frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, EDI, anti-bribery), with the ability to quickly learn and adhere to institutional policies.
