Optimi is looking for a highly experienced Copywriter to join the team. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
The successful incumbent will support the business through professional writing, editing, and proofreading, ensuring all content is accurate, engaging, and aligned with brand standards.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree with Honours in communications/journalism/Afrikaans and or English or related Degree or Diploma.
2-5 years of copywriting.
Ability to translate from English to Afrikaans, and vice versa.
Impeccable writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Computer literate.
Valid driver's licence with own vehicle.
DUTIES
Write copy and create content for various platforms, including marketing campaigns, social media, internal and external communications, website content, blog articles, etc.
Improve readability and clarity of all communication and marketing material.
Proven experience in writing for different mediums (digital, print, social media, etc.) Portfolio to be submitted.
Be a custodian of the language style guide and tone of voice of the company.
Proofread copy to ensure that all copy is grammatically correct.
Translate English copy to Afrikaans and vice versa if required.
Keep up to date with the latest copywriting trends and techniques.
Participate in setting marketing plans and strategies.
