A fast-moving South African ecommerce brand with a product people genuinely love buying, gifting, and showing off. The team is small and scrappy in the best way, the founder is hands-on and on-camera, and creative output is what drives everything. No layers of approval. No death by committee. Just real ideas, real execution, and real results showing up in the numbers.
Here is the truth: the brand is growing, the ad account is hungry, and currently, there are not enough creatives being produced to feed it properly. That is why this role exists.
You would be the person who fixes that.
As the Creative Strategist, you own the creative pipeline from idea to finished asset. You think in angles. You see a product and immediately start building a list of every type of person who might need it, every reason they might buy it, every emotion worth tapping into. Then you turn those angles into a weekly plan of videos and images that actually get made, not just talked about in a doc somewhere.
You will direct the junior creative, plan and coordinate shoots (founder-led content, UGC, studio), step in on editing when the pipeline needs it, and make sure there is a steady stream of polished, launch-ready creatives going out every single week. The target is 10 finished videos per week, plus 5 to 10 image ads on top of that. Consistent. Every week.
You will not be behind the camera. But everything that gets captured will have your fingerprints on it.

You Need to Bring


A portfolio of Meta ads you planned or produced that genuinely performed, not just looked pretty
Proven experience in ecommerce or at a performance-driven agency where output and results were everything
A real understanding of what makes a hook land, what makes a scroll stop, and what makes someone actually click buy
The ability to think across a full audience spectrum and craft angles that speak to each pocket of potential customers
Experience directing or managing other creatives and getting the best out of them without micromanaging
Solid hands in Canva and CapCut or whatever video editor you actually prefer
The kind of self-discipline that means you do not need to be chased to get things done


What You Will Own


Planning and briefing all creative across video and image formats for Meta
Building a weekly creative calendar targeting 10 videos and 5 to 10 image ads every week without fail
Identifying audience pockets and crafting angles that speak directly to each one
Directing founder-led shoots, coordinating UGC, and planning studio content so the pipeline is never dependent on a single source
Managing the junior creative with clear briefs and enough direction to keep them moving fast
Reviewing and approving all finished assets before they go live
Digging into performance data and using what is working to shape what gets made next
Bringing fresh ideas every single week because that is the job
