Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a dynamic, energetic and strong individual who will be responsible for all the aspects of the reverse logistics process.
This position is primarily responsible for all aspects of the reverse logistics process and managing incoming deliveries to the Warehouse by verifying and signing for incoming stock, assisting with unloading, checking documentation, storing of received items and processing any returns.
Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to)
Ensures daily responsibilities are completed in a timely manner while maintaining accuracy.
Ensures adherence to Standard Operating Procedures for credits and receiving and maintains safe departmental work practices.
Report all discrepancies or operational challenges to appropriate departments and continuously monitor until issues are resolved; escalate when necessary.
Responsible for the receipt, checking and crediting of returned goods.
Record and check quantity and quality of goods returned
Addresses defective or discontinued goods for proper disposition
Ensures the quantity to be processed matches the quantity on return note
Capture and reconcile credits on the system. Resolve queries relating to returns
Ensures returned goods are checked accurately and placed in designated place
Keep track of shipment and delivery schedules for incoming stock.
Inspect and verify that incoming stock is correct and undamaged.
Handle all necessary paperwork upon shipment receipt
Report damages or shortages to the appropriate person
Compare purchase orders/transfer requests with invoices/transfer notes and packaging lists.
Assisting with unloading deliveries from trucks.
Processing returns for incorrect or unsatisfactory items. Organizing and storing received items in appropriate areas. Updating the systems with the received items.
Communicating with relevant internal stakeholders regarding delays or problems.
Maintaining records of orders/transfers, delivery details, etc.
Collaborate with all relevant internal stakeholders, such as Receiving and Housekeeping departments.
Performs other duties as assigned to meet business requirements
Take ownership and accountability for tasks and activities and demonstrate effective self-management in terms of planning, prioritising and self-development.
Education and Required Skills
Grade 12
Degree/National Diploma or equivalent in Administration/Logistics/Warehouse Management or at least 3 - 5 years of experience of which at least two were spent in a supervisory role in a similar environment with proof of consistent career advancement
SAP and Qwix working experience - highly beneficial
WMS experience - beneficial
Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
Knowledge of stock management
