Job Purpose


The Pre-Sales Engineer will support the sales team by designing and positioning IT and infrastructure solutions that meet client needs. This role involves engaging prospects, understanding technical requirements, and translating them into scalable, cost-effective solutions that drive successful deal closure.


Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Pre-Sales Support


Engage clients to understand business and technical requirements.
Design tailored solutions across all IT related services.
Prepare solution architectures, proposals, and technical documentation.
Support RFP/RFQ responses and bid processes.


Client Engagement & Presentations


Lead technical discussions, product demos, and solution walkthroughs.
Clearly articulate value propositions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Address client concerns on performance, security, scalability, and integration.


Sales Enablement


Partner with sales teams to progress opportunities and close deals.
Provide technical validation and ensure proposed solutions align with client needs.
Support pricing strategies and solution positioning.


Product & Market Alignment


Stay updated on cloud, hosting, and infrastructure trends.
Provide feedback to product and technical teams based on market demands.
Help refine service offerings and go-to-market strategies.


Handover & Implementation Support


Ensure smooth transition from sales to delivery/operations teams.
Provide technical clarification during project kickoff and early implementation phases.


Qualifications & Experience


3 - 6 years experience in pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical consulting.
Background in IT or infrastructure solutions.
Experience supporting enterprise or B2B technology sales cycles.
Proven ability to contribute to successful deal closures.


Technical Skills


Enterprise connectivity (VPNs, leased lines, MPLS, broadband solutions)
Networking fundamentals (IP addressing, routing, DNS, firewalls)
Basic understanding of servers, storage, and infrastructure architecture
Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions, create solution architectures and technical proposals

Strong presentation and communication skills
Commercial awareness and customer-focused mindset
Problem-solving and analytical thinking
Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously


Education


Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
