Your responsibilities will include:


Manage and ensure that all INBOUND (Supplier Collects, Putaway, Receiving, Unloading and Yard Control) departments are well organised and controlled to sufficiently support production and the goals of the business
Implement improvement processes and maintain procedures and systems to minimise costs and maximize working capital
Ensuring all work areas are clean and tidy and safe for staff to work in
Overall management and coordination of the warehousing function
Operate an efficient Inbound department by identifying, implementing and managing optimal processes and procedures
Responsible for efficiently managing all aspects of stock handling within the realm of the job
Ensure daily, weekly and monthly planning is done for all inbound operations and manage adherence to plan
Effective management of housekeeping
Ensure efficient security and optimum storage conditions for all TAKEALOT's product lines
Management of resources to be effective and efficient at lowest cost and according to changing needs
Effective leadership and direction for the operation team through involvement and communication to deliver on the relevant key business drivers
Constantly seeking new ways to improve the DC efficiency and cost effectiveness
Manage weekly and daily inter-branch transfers (IBT) from an inbound perspective
Manage customer liaison process and ensure that DC queries are resolved timeously and exception trends are addressed
Ensure that DC space, equipment and DC flow is optimized and that future DC requirements are planned
Ensure accurate inventory records are maintained
Support stock takes and support the analysis of stock take results
Measure and manage staff performance through formal staff appraisals, development, coaching and disciplinary procedures
Ensure that all business processes, procedures and job profiles are documented and updated
Management reporting in terms of operational performance, productivity, stock control and budgets
Participate in annual budget process and long-term planning and control monthly operational costs to stay within budget
Manage projects according to stipulated time frames
Liaising with retail and marketplace buyers and sellers
Measure and manage staff through formal staff appraisals, development, coaching and disciplinary procedures, succession planning


Qualification & Experience:


Bachelor's degree / National Diploma in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or Logistics required
8-10 years' experience in Supply Chain Operations
5 years' experience in operational project management
5+ years' experience in directly managing people to deliver continuous improvement (Lean principles, 5S, multiskilling, cost saving drives)
