Job Description
We are seeking a Drilling Engineer / Specialist I to support the planning, design, execution, and surveillance of drilling and completion programs, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective well delivery while maintaining the highest standards of engineering integrity, safety, and environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Develop well plans by evaluating geological, reservoir, and offset well data.
Design drilling and completion programs that meet technical and regulatory requirements.
Prepare cost estimates, technical specifications, and equipment requirements.
Evaluate technical bids for drilling goods and services.
Monitor drilling operations and provide engineering support for critical activities.
Support equipment testing, new procedures, and operational improvements.
Collaborate with drilling, geology, reservoir, and project teams to achieve well objectives.
Provide technical surveillance and engineering assessments throughout well execution.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Experience in well planning and drilling operations within the oil and gas industry.
Experience with well design software and Microsoft Office applications.
Deepwater drilling experience and knowledge of subsea systems is an advantage where applicable.
Strong analytical, planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent written and spoken English.
