JOB PURPOSE
The incumbent is responsible for safely operating company vehicles to facilitate timely delivery and collection of consignments whilst adhering to company policies, HSE procedures and road safety requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Safely drive company vehicles and ensure timely deliveries and collections.
Safely load and offload consignments in line with HSE procedures.
Maintain effective communication with Dispatch and Control Room teams.
Conduct daily vehicle inspections, maintain vehicle cleanliness and upkeep, and promptly report defects, damage or malfunctions requiring servicing.
Follow vehicle handover/takeover, journey, work-ticket and courier procedures, in compliance with company policies, Driver Golden Rules and traffic laws.
Ensure vehicle branding, licensing and statutory compliance requirements are maintained and adhere to company requirements on reporting times and authorized passengers.
Protect customer and shipment information in line with the Data Protection Policy.
Uphold professionalism, integrity, courtesy and excellent customer service.
REQUIREMENTS
High School KCSE Certificate.
Valid driving license
5 years and above of heavy commercial vehicles driving experience.
High integrity, honesty and professionalism.
Good grooming, communication and time management.
Safe and courteous driving.
Customer-focused and cost-conscious.
Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
Team player with a strong sense of responsibility.
