Requirements :
Grade 10 or Equivalent qualification, A valid code 10 (C1) driver's license with a valid Pr.D.P. (Professional Driving Permit), 3-5 years' experience in driving will be an added advantage, Ability to communicate at all levels (good communication skills).
Customer, interaction skills, ability to work in a team as well as working alone. Ability to work under pressure must be prepared to work shifts including night shifts and public holidays.
Duties :
Transporting of patients (P2, P3 and Mental Health), staff, medication and post utilizing the Hospital vehicles in a safe and professional manner. Effective communication with dispatching regarding the schedule progress and receiving the instructions. Maintain professional image and attitude regarding patients, staff, and co-workers.
Compile daily pre-trip, post trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness. Must be able to accurately complete log-sheets, must be able to operate the GPS device, 2-way radios and cell phone where possible.
Perform all duties assigned by the transport officer. Report when the accident occurred, Responsible for safe keeping of fuel card and inventory, including all other tools in the vehicle, taking care of the trip authority, log-sheet, vehicle tag, fuel card and vehicle keys always.
