Job Summary
A Sacco Driver is responsible for safely transporting passengers along designated routes while adhering to traffic laws, Sacco regulations, and maintaining high standards of customer service. The role focuses on safety, punctuality, and efficient vehicle operation.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate a public service vehicle (PSV) as assigned
Pick up and drop off passengers at designated points
Follow Sacco schedules and route guidelines
Ensure passenger safety at all times
Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of the vehicle
Conduct daily vehicle inspections (brakes, tires, oil, fuel, lights)
Ensure compliance with NTSA and traffic regulations
Keep accurate trip and fuel records
Report accidents, mechanical issues, or delays promptly
Required Skills:
Excellent driving and road safety skills
Good knowledge of routes and traffic patterns
Strong time management and punctuality
Customer service and communication skills
Ability to handle pressure and traffic situations
Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
Teamwork (working with Sacco management)
Qualifications:
Valid PSV driving license
Valid NTSA PSV badge
Certificate of good conduct
Basic education (KCSE or equivalent preferred)
Minimum (4 years) driving experience
