Job Purpose


The Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and professional delivery of customer orders, inter-branch transfers, and company goods while ensuring excellent customer service, compliance with safety regulations, and proper maintenance of company vehicles.


Key Responsibilities

Delivery Operations


Deliver customer orders accurately and within the agreed timelines.
Facilitate inter branch stock transfers and warehouse deliveries as assigned.
Ensure all deliveries are completed with the correct documentation and customer acknowledgment.
Maintain a minimum delivery completion and timeliness target of 95%.


Product Handling & Customer Service


Handle furniture and other products with care during loading, transportation, and offloading to prevent damage.
Provide professional and courteous service to customers during deliveries.
Address customer concerns respectfully and escalate issues when necessary.
Ensure positive customer experiences and contribute to favourable customer feedback.


Safety & Compliance


Adhere to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies.
Wear the required uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE) while on duty.
Report accidents, incidents, or safety concerns immediately.
Maintain a high safety compliance score and promote a safe working environment.


Vehicle Management


Conduct daily vehicle inspections before and after trips.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
Report mechanical issues, service requirements, and damages promptly.
Follow assigned routes and optimize travel efficiency where possible.
Ensure proper fuel management and support vehicle maintenance schedules.


Documentation & Reporting


Ensure delivery notes are completed accurately and submitted promptly after each delivery.
Obtain customer signatures and proof of delivery where required.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle inspections.
Submit all required reports within the stipulated timelines.

Qualifications & Skills


Valid driving license with a clean driving record.
5 years driving experience.
Previous experience in furniture, logistics, or delivery operations is an added advantage.
Driving class BC is Mandatory.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to handle and transport furniture safely.
Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
