Requirements
Relevant 3-year tertiary qualification, preferably an honours degree in Economics or Finance
Minimum of 3 years' relevant functional experience
Proven experience in analysing and evaluating economic data, including large datasets
Exposure to economic modelling tools and techniques
An understanding of economic drivers, and tracking economic performance indicators
Proficiency in written reports and the presentation of economic findings
Project and stakeholder management experience
Key Performance Areas
Collect, clean and consolidate economic datasets to support,analysis, reporting and evidence-based decision-making
Analyse economic, sectoral, and socio-economic data to identify trends and performance over time using programmes such as Excel, STATA or R
Produce regular economic reports and inputs into publications for management and stakeholders
Contribute to building and maintaining economic dashboards and data visualisations to support the monitoring of key economic performance indicators e.g. labour market indicators
Interpret and communicate complex data clearly through charts, tables, written reports and presentations
Utilise economic modelling techniques to inform decision making
Conduct research and benchmarking on economic trends, local and global market developments, and policy issues
Contribute to forecasting of economic indicators
