Job Purpose
The Education Technology Specialist will lead the effective integration of digital tools and educational technologies to support teaching, learning, and assessment.
The role ensures that technology enhances curriculum delivery, improves student engagement, and builds staff capacity in the use of digital learning platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Educational Technology Implementation:
Support the selection, implementation, and management of educational technology platforms, including LMS, digital classrooms, and assessment tools.
Ensure effective integration of technology into classroom teaching and learning practices.
Support blended and online learning initiatives where applicable.
Teacher and Student Support:
Train and support teachers in the effective use of educational technologies.
Provide ongoing technical and pedagogical support to staff and students.
Develop user guides, training materials, and best-practice resources.
Curriculum and Learning Support:
Work with academic leaders to align technology use with curriculum goals and learning outcomes.
Support digital assessment, feedback, and reporting practices.
Promote innovative teaching methods using technology to enhance student engagement.
Systems and Platform Management:
Support the administration and day-to-day operation of LMS, digital assessment tools, and classroom technologies.
Work closely with the IT team to ensure system reliability, security, and updates.
Troubleshoot basic technical issues related to educational platforms.
Monitoring and Continuous Improvement:
Monitor usage and effectiveness of educational technology tools.
Gather feedback from teachers and students to inform improvements.
Stay up to date with emerging trends in education technology and digital learning.
