Job Requirements
Establishment and provision of engineering services
Develop and execute (conceptual, basic & detailed engineering and commissioning)
Evaluating electrical system requirements, capacity, cost, and project needs
Evaluating performance, identifying and resolving issues, and developing testing procedures.
Exploring new applications and technologies related to electrical engineering.
Conducting inspections and tests on electrical equipment
Developing manufacturing processes and standards for electrical products.
Provide electrical engineering services on a profitable basis to Necsa and its corporatized entities (NTP and Pelchem).
Contribute to the development of project Business Plans by providing technical, environmental and safety information.
Perform concept and basic electrical engineering of plants or facilities and produce typical output documentation to specify the product/s appropriately and in sufficient details for efficient configuration management;
Provide detail engineering input to detail design phases of projects;
Design frameworks, norms, standards and systems for implementation within EE, in order to ensure that the function fulfils its role.
Perform scoping and pricing of new infrastructure on behalf of customers
Perform feasibility studies of medium to complex systems independently;
Perform the function of SSC owner for facilities in which ENS is appointed as design authority and takes responsibility for the performance of an integrated and complex system;
Assuming the role of project manager for smaller to medium projects;
Recommend and apply applicable internationally acceptable standards during the design process, specifically for subsections of facilities and SSCs
Incorporate the approved design processes and safety, licensing and SHEQ-INS requirements into products/output to ensure compliance with the design control plan and applicable regulations and stakeholder requirements;
Initiate and conduct Design Reviews, and update designs accordingly; Initiate and conduct Hazard and Operability; Studies. And update designs accordingly;
Interact with the customer to ensure that customer requirements in terms of design of SSCs are correctly interpreted and that reliable information and input is obtained from the customer and other stakeholders;
Undertake problem solving and optimisation across Necsa and subsidiaries relating to chemical/process engineering aspects in process plants, (e.g. product purity, equipment malfunctioning, etc.) on an ad-hoc basic/as requested for complex problems.
Conduct research and analysis to ensure provision of optimal and effective solution to process engineering problems;
Obtain sufficient information on operations of Necsa-facilities to ensure that services add maximum value and to minimise induction time when assigned to projects.

Indirectly responsible for mentoring of more junior staff GITs - 1 to 10
Knowledge

Develop Policies & Procedures
Training and skill development of employees
Mentor junior engineers on an ongoing basis, which includes overseeing their personal and professional development to ensure professional and reliable output from more junior personnel
General
Introduce Innovative approaches, systems and processes within the Engineering Framework operation
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronic Engineering from an accredited University)
Minimum Experience:
1 years' experience in an electrical engineering environment or Completed GIT program.
