Our client, Sierra Premium Breweries Ltd, is looking for an Electrical Technical Machine Operator to support the smooth and efficient operation of its production and packaging equipment.
This is a hands-on technical role for someone with a strong electrical background and experience operating machinery within a beverage manufacturing environment, particularly candidates with exposure to canning lines.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor production and packaging machinery in line with SOPs and production schedules.
Carry out machine start-ups, shutdowns, changeovers and wash-outs while maintaining quality and minimising downtime.
Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot basic electrical and equipment faults.
Support routine equipment inspections and preventive maintenance activities.
Monitor critical process parameters and take corrective action where required.
Support the operation of production utilities and process equipment.
Maintain accurate production, quality, breakdown and handover records.
Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, food safety and EHS requirements.
Requirements
Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics or a related technical field.
Minimum 2 years' experience in a beverage manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience operating production or packaging machinery, preferably canning lines.
Good understanding of electrical systems and industrial production equipment.
Experience with PLCs, SCADA or other industrial control systems is an added advantage.
Knowledge of brewing, packaging, utilities or process plant operations is an added advantage.
Good problem-solving and teamwork skills.
Willingness to work in a hands-on production environment and across shifts.
