Job Summary
Seeking a skilled Electrical Technician with experience in plastics manufacturing and injection molding machines, preferably Husky and SACMI systems.
The candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, and improving electrical and electronic systems of injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and plant utilities to ensure maximum machine uptime, production efficiency, and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, PLC, servo, and control system faults on molding machines.
Maintain and repair hot runner systems, temperature controllers, heaters, thermocouples, servo drives, motors, hydraulic and pneumatic control systems.
Diagnose faults in Husky and SACMI injection molding machines and related equipment.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and control diagrams.
Carry out calibration and testing of sensors, instruments, and control devices.
Support mold change activities and machine start-up validation.
Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities for reliability improvement.
Maintain electrical panels, MCCs, circuit breakers, contactors, relays, and VFDs.
Assist in installation and commissioning of new machinery and automation systems.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and electrical regulations.
Maintain maintenance records, downtime reports, and spare parts usage.
Coordinate with production and process teams to minimize downtime and improve productivity.
Required Qualifications
Diploma, B. Tech in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Electronics, or related field.
3 - 7 years of experience in plastics manufacturing or injection molding industry.
Hands-on experience with Husky and SACMI injection molding machines preferred.
Strong knowledge of PLC systems, industrial automation, servo systems, and electrical troubleshooting.
Ability to use electrical testing instruments such as multimeter, clamp meter, megger, and temperature calibrators.
Understanding of industrial safety standards and maintenance practices.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with injection molding machine maintenance, Husky hot runner systems, and SACMI machinery.
Knowledge of robotics, automation, and preventive maintenance systems.
Knowledge of PLC brands such as Siemens, Beckhoff, Danfoss, and Mitsubishi.
Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency breakdowns.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
