Engineer: Operational Planning & Development Areas:WASA19032 at City of Ekurhuleni

Minimum Requirements:


Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent relevant qualification in Civil
Professional Registration with ECSA / Eligible to register
Valid Code B driver's licence
Computer literacy.
3 years' experience in a similar environment


Core Responsibilities:


Plan, organise, lead and control engineering requirements and resources for the planning office
Check, support/ not support and send written comments on all development applications to Chief Engineer for assessments
Provide overall direction in terms of overall engineering management in respect of all new developments and impacts on infrastructure
Assist with the implementation of engineering activities for the section
Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly reports as per developed set standards and requirements
Monitor and manage effective financial control, corporate governance and financial compliance in the area planning office
Ensure effective implementation of council resolution and keep up to date with legislation associated with engineering activities
Advise of engineering plans and projects for the area of accountability
Lead and manage direct and indirect teams by providing a meaningful context, setting performance standards and educating on policies, guidelines and processes
Attend to customer complaints and enquiries, monitor feedback and deliver a service that is aligned to Batho Pele principles and excellent customer service culture
