Key Responsibilities
Teach English Language across Key Stage 3, IGCSE, BECE, WAEC, and NECO classes as applicable.
Prepare students effectively for internal and external examinations.
Develop students' proficiency in grammar, writing, comprehension, literature appreciation, public speaking, and critical thinking.
Plan and deliver lessons aligned with both British and Nigerian curriculum standards.
Monitor student performance and implement intervention strategies where necessary.
Integrate educational technology and digital resources to enhance teaching and learning.
Contribute to curriculum development and departmental improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in English, English Education, Linguistics, Literature in English, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years successful teaching experience at the secondary school level.
Demonstrated experience preparing students for WAEC, NECO, Checkpoint, IGCSE, or equivalent examinations.
Excellent subject knowledge and communication skills.
Strong classroom management and student engagement abilities.
Must be highly tech savvy with proven competence in educational technology, digital assessment tools, Learning Management Systems (LMS), Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, interactive classroom technologies, and AI-supported instructional tools.
TRCN certification and postgraduate qualifications are added advantages.
