Responsibilities


Plan and execute Preventive, Autonomous, and Planned maintenance on all factory equipment, power supply lines, capacitor banks, standby generators, utilities, and
buildings.
Execute findings from energy surveys and audits or other self-driven/delegated initiatives.
Initiate continuous improvement projects, including
process automation for maximum operational efficiencies. Liaise with KPLC (Kenya Power and Lighting Company) on matters related to billing, power outages, and planned line maintenance/shutdowns.
Implement Engineering processes and services in compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards (Trufoods and Regulatory agencies).
Maintain detailed equipment logs via Job Cards, recording performance, repairs, and calibrations.
Evaluate the performance of service providers/contractors and maintain related records.
Prepare and submit required maintenance reports.
Ensure a safe working environment for staff, specifically preventing electricity-induced accidents and mishaps.
Ensure high machine/equipment availability and achieve minimum downtime as defined by Key Result Areas (KRA).
Train operators on simple diagnostic tools to reduce equipment and quality defects.
Adhere to clean and hygienic standards at work stations and promote food safety programs.
Continually identify areas for utility savings, especially in power consumption and equipment protection.


Requirements


Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
Possesses a strong personality and high integrity.
Must be proactive.
Strong interpersonal relations skills.
Able to work effectively within tight deadlines.
