Job Description / Key Responsibilities Team Lead
Specific Tasks:
Support the team lead in community entry processes including stakeholder mapping and introductory meetings with traditional, religious, and community leaders.
Establish and maintain relationships with community structures and groups such as WSDC.
Mobilise community members/Project participants for programme activities such as sensitization sessions, training, PDMs, surveys, FGDs.
Ensure inclusive participation of women, youth, persons with disabilities, and vulnerable groups.
Promote accountability, transparency and safeguarding principles in all engagements.
Support baseline assessments, surveys and monitoring activities.
Collaborate with the communication specialist to develop culturally appropriate IEC materials.
Coordinate with the M&E officer to track community level indicators and outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Development Studies, Sociology, Social Work, Community Development, Political Science, Public Administration, Social Sciences or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in community engagement, mobilization, social development or programme implementation.
Candidates should have demonstrated experience working with IDPs, returnees, vulnerable and host communities, as well as traditional/community leaders, government stakeholders, women and youth groups.
Experience in participatory community engagement, sensitization, stakeholder consultations, feedback mechanisms and social protection programming is highly desirable.
Previous experience in Borno/Northeast Nigeria is an advantage.
Fluency in English and Hausa is required, while knowledge of Kanuri is an added advantage.
