Job Summary
The Export Executive will be responsible for managing end-to-end export operations, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, coordinating with shipping lines and forwarding agents, and handling all export documentation including Letters of Credit (L/C). The role requires strong attention to detail, coordination with banks and regulatory bodies, and efficient data management.
Job Details
NXP & Forwarding Operations
Handle export-related processes on the Nigeria Export Proceeds (NXP) platform.
Coordinate with freight forwarders for shipment planning and execution.
Ensure timely processing and approval of NXP forms in line with regulatory requirements.
Export Documentation (L/C)
Prepare, review, and manage all export documentation under Letters of Credit (L/C).
Ensure documentation compliance with L/C terms to avoid discrepancies.
Liaise with banks for document negotiation and payment processing.
Shipping Line & Forwarding Coordination
Work closely with shipping lines and freight forwarders for booking, shipment scheduling, and cargo movement.
Monitor shipment status and ensure timely delivery.
Company Export Operations
Manage day-to-day export activities from order confirmation to final shipment.
Ensure compliance with international trade laws, customs regulations, and company policies.
Coordinate with internal departments (Sales, Production, Finance) for seamless export execution.
Computer Data Management
Maintain accurate and up-to-date export records in company systems.
Track shipments, documentation, and transaction history.
Generate reports on export performance and activities.
Bank & Regulatory Liaison
Interface with banks for export documentation, foreign exchange processing, and payment tracking.
Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies such as the Central Bank and export authorities.
Handle documentation required for foreign remittances and proceeds repatriation.
Certificate of Origin & Compliance
Process and obtain Certificates of Origin and other required export certifications.
Ensure all export documents meet destination country requirements.
Maintain proper filing and audit-ready documentation.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
3 - 5 years experience in export operations or international trade.
Strong knowledge of export documentation, L/C processes, and shipping procedures.
Familiarity with NXP platform and Nigerian export regulations is highly required.
Strong understanding of international trade and export procedures
Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
Excellent communication and coordination skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems
