Description
The Facility / Maintenance Assistant is responsible for supporting the upkeep, safety, and functionality of the organization's facilities.
The role involves carrying out routine maintenance, handling repairs, and ensuring that all equipment and infrastructure are in good working condition to support smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine inspection of facilities to identify maintenance needs
Carry out basic repairs and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, and general fixtures
Ensure all equipment and facilities are functioning properly and report major faults promptly
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of facility areas where required
Monitor and manage maintenance schedules for equipment and infrastructure
Assist in coordinating external technicians and service providers when necessary
Keep records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment servicing
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards within the facility
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies
Support setup and maintenance of office spaces, workstations, and common areas
Assist guests when necessary.
Requirements
Minimum of OND or relevant technical certification
2-3 years' experience in facility management or maintenance roles
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance
Ability to troubleshoot and carry out minor repairs independently
Good physical condition and ability to handle manual tasks
Strong attention to detail and proactive approach to maintenance
Ability to work with minimum supervision
Good communication and teamwork skills
High level of responsibility, reliability, and discipline
Neat appearance and professional conduct.
