Job Summary
The Facility Manager is responsible for the effective management, maintenance, and safety of all physical facilities at Lily College of Nursing Sciences.
The role ensures that classrooms, hostels, offices, laboratories, and utilities are well-maintained, safe, and conducive for learning, teaching, and administrative activities.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of all college facilities, including classrooms, hostels, offices, laboratories, and common areas
Ensure regular inspection, servicing, and repair of buildings, equipment, and utilities (power, water, HVAC, plumbing)
Manage vendors, contractors, and service providers, including cleaning, security, and maintenance services
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
Manage facility budgets, maintenance costs, and inventory of assets
Respond promptly to facility-related issues and emergencies
Coordinate space management and support campus operations and events
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and facility assets.
Requirements
Minimum of HND / BSc in Facilities Management, Engineering, Building Technology, Estate Management, or a related field
Proven experience as a Facility Manager or in a similar role (preferably in an educational or healthcare environment)
Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and safety standards
Good vendor and contract management skills
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work with minimal supervision
Proficiency in basic computer applications and reporting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
