Job Summary
The Facility Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and safety of all facility systems, infrastructure, and grounds to ensure optimal performance, functionality, and compliance.
The ideal candidate must possess strong technical knowledge of building maintenance systems, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, civil, and structural works, with the ability to diagnose and coordinate repairs efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and manage all facility systems, including electrical installations, plumbing networks, HVAC systems, generators, water treatment systems, mechanical equipment, and building structures.
Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs, defects, and safety concerns.
Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs to ensure uninterrupted facility operations.
Troubleshoot and coordinate the resolution of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, civil, and structural issues, minimizing downtime and operational disruptions.
Monitor the performance of service providers, contractors, and technicians to ensure quality service delivery.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and building regulations.
Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and emergency preparedness drills.
Implement corrective actions for identified risks and maintain accurate records for regulatory and compliance audits.
Plan, coordinate, and execute facility improvement, renovation, and maintenance projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and contractor management.
Oversee civil works, structural modifications, and building repairs, ensuring adherence to approved specifications and building codes.
Manage facility-related inventories, maintenance records, and operational reports.
Requirements
B.Sc. / HND in Engineering, Building Technology, Estate Management, Facilities Management, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience in facility management, building maintenance, or a similar role.
Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing systems, building maintenance, mechanical equipment, and civil/structural works.
Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and coordinate repairs for facility-related issues.
Familiarity with local building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
Strong leadership, organizational, and contractor management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and facility maintenance reporting.
Willingness to perform site inspections and other physical activities required to oversee facility operations.
