Job Description


Tapestry Manufacturing is seeking a Factory Planner to support Quilting and Filling operations across two Tapestry manufacturing facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate planning and control of raw materials required for quilting and filling production lines, with a specific focus on natural fills (feathers) and synthetic fills (fibre).
This role requires strong manufacturing planning experience, exceptional data accuracy, and advanced Microsoft Excel capability, ensuring consistent material availability and uninterrupted production across both sites.


Responsibilities


Execute day-to-day raw material planning for quilting and filling production lines across two factory locations.
Plan, manage, and track availability of feathers, fibre, and other fill materials to prevent production disruptions at either site.
Monitor feather stock with due consideration to seasonality, quality grading, and yield variances.
Monitor synthetic fill stock and coordinate replenishment in line with production demand and site storage constraints.
Maintain and update Excel-based planning tools and trackers, ensuring absolute accuracy across both facilities.
Identify, assess, and escalate risks related to material shortages, supplier delays, or production plan changes impacting either factory.
Reconcile material consumption against production output and investigate variances per site.
Support capacity planning and demand forecasting for quilting and filling lines across both locations.
Ensure adherence to internal planning procedures, quality standards, and governance requirements at all sites.
Drive continuous improvement within planning processes and reporting tools to enhance visibility and control across the two factories.
Responsible for the confirmation and in-full and on-time delivery of orders as agreed with the Retail teams.
Strict adherence to meeting critical dates in the planning critical path to ensure delivery dates are met


Qualifications


Diploma in Production Planning, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
2 - 4 years' experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment (essential)
Manufacturing experience is essential (textile, bedding, packaging, or similar environments preferred)
Experience supporting planning across multiple sites will be advantageous


Skills:


Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency is critical
