Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Field Engineer to support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our network infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling on-site technical operations, ensuring service reliability, and delivering excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out on-site installation of network equipment (routers, ONTs, switches, etc.)
Troubleshoot and resolve customer connectivity issues efficiently
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on network infrastructure
Diagnose faults across fiber, wireless, and IP networks
Ensure timely resolution of tickets assigned from NOC or support teams
Conduct site surveys and provide technical recommendations
Escalate complex issues with accurate reporting and documentation
Ensure compliance with HSE and operational procedures
Provide customer education during and after installations
Requirements
Candidates should possess a Second Class Upper Division OND/HND/B.Sc in Engineering, Computer Telecommunications, or related field
1 - 4 years of experience in field support or telecom/network operations is an added advantage
Basic understanding of networking (IP addressing, routing, DHCP, NAT)
Experience with fiber and wireless installations is an advantage
Ability to troubleshoot under pressure and meet SLAs
Good communication and customer service skills
Preferred Skills:
Experience working with ISPs or telecom providers
Familiarity with Mikrotik, Ubiquiti, or similar devices
Knowledge of FTTH and GPON networks
Ability to work independently in the field
