The Program Finance Associate provides strategic and operational finance support for donor-funded and internal programs, including budget management, financial analysis, and preparation of program financial reports for donors and internal stakeholders.
The role ensures compliance with donor agreements, organizational financial policies, and reporting timelines, and serves as a key finance partner to program teams.


Key Responsibilities:




Develop, monitor, and control program budgets to ensure effective and appropriate use of funds.
Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for donors and internal stakeholders in line with reporting requirements.
Ensure compliance with donor agreements, organisational financial policies, and audit standards.
Provide financial oversight and support to implementing partners and sub - grantees, including review of financial reports.
Act as a finance business partner to program teams, offering financial guidance to support informed planning and decision - making.
Support internal and external audit processes, respond to audit queries, and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations.


Qualifications & Experience:


HND/ Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
A professional accounting qualification such as ACCA (or ACA).
6 - 10 years' relevant finance experience, preferably within an NGO, international organisation, or donor -funded environment.
Demonstrated experience in program finance, donor reporting, partner/sub -grantee oversight, and audit support.
Proficient in using accounting systems for financial management and reporting.
Advanced skills for budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting.
